This is my working studio, where I create functional pottery and welded steel assemblage sculpture. There is an indoor display space and an outdoor sculpture garden/walk on my one acre property.

Gathered in my studio are hundreds of found objects; displayed on shelves, organized by type, grouped as still lifes, and balanced on each other as models and inspiration for future creative works. There are bones, machine elements, furniture parts, toys and found ceramic objects. Each has a story and a history, and each is visually intriguing influencing both by sculpture and my ceramic work. My metal sculpture is created with farm implements, industrial cut-offs, found iron and steel elements. I weld each piece to the next in search of both formalist relations and narrative connections. My functional pottery is made to be used, cups, bowls and vases beautifully glazed and fired to stoneware temperatures.

If you would like to see my studio work, call or email about setting up a time for a visit…
