?Monkeytown Pottery is a working studio for potter Amy Oliver and a working pottery classroom as well. Amy’s pots have a focus on form as well as surface design, she thinks of the form as a canvas and uses slip and oxides to draw or carve on the pots. She also uses glaze and and wax to create images or to further enhance the form itself. Most work is functional in the kitchen or garden though some sculptural forms are art for the sake of art. Monkeytown Pottery is also where Amy teaches her classes and is a studio home for her students as well.
