The Art sPARKs Sculpture Trail was created through the vision of the Leesburg Commission on Public Art and by generous donations from Lansdowne Development Group, Middleburg Bank and the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts. It is the recipient of the 2017 Signatures of Loudoun Design Excellence Program award for the Public Space category.

Dedicated July 2, 2016, the trail in Raflo Park has five sculptures:

- Birdhouse #6 by Michael Clay; sponsored by the Rotary Club of Leesburg

- Sproutman by Brian Kirk; sponsored by Burgevin & Larkin

- Trailblazer by Peter Wood; sponsored by Suzanne & Lawrence Stipek

- Unity by Brian Kirk; sponsored by Rehau

These sculptures are on loan to Leesburg for two years and are for sale. Birdhouse #6 is the People’s Choice Award winner. Five new sculptures will be installed in July 2018 after a “Call to Artists” has been issued.

Across Harrison Street and next to the W&OD Trail is the Velo Love sculpture by Michael Clay. A part of the “Virginia Is For Lovers” campaign, this LOVEwork sculpture has already proved to be a popular backdrop for engagement and wedding pictures.

Commissioned by the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts, Velo Love is made of recycled bicycle parts donated by local bicycle shops. It is 7 feet high and 17 feet wide and is powder-coated with a bronze finish.

The LOVEwork is in place thanks to Plum Grove Cyclery, Leesburg Acquisition Partners LLC, Lansdowne Development Group, American Stripping Company, Leesburg Junction, Very Virginia Shop, O’Neil Architects, Mike Stansbury PE, Bowman Consulting Group, Broad Run Excavating, VeloClassique, Lincoln Smithy, Beth Erickson, O’Shaunessy-Hurst Foundation, The Friends Of Leesburg Public Arts, Virginia Tourism Corporation, and Visit Loudoun.
