The Bridgewater Historical Society was organized and founded in June of 2012 to preserve and promote the history of Bridgewater, Virginia​. Its purpose is to collect memorabilia, stories, articles, books, photos, newspapers, paintings, antiques and other items the Society deems appropriate in keeping with its mission. The Society hopes to enhance and promote tourism in Bridgewater and the surrounding area and provide relevant historical and educational activities. Our museum is filled with original artifacts, stories, and display items that represent the distinct history of Bridgewater.
