Having made my daughters clothes as they were growing up, I realized that woodworking, a hobby I had long wanted to pursue, merely used a different set of tools and materials—wood and power tools instead of fabric and a sewing machine. I started with birdhouse “facades,” or one dimensional birdhouses. From there, I acquired more tools, more wood, and MUCH more interesting vintage items to attach to the birdhouses. Some of my birdhouses suit real birds, and others are for displaying to please the eye and your decor. My studio, open by appointment, overflows with rusty nails, bolts, vintage hinges and door knobs, varieties of hearts, broken jewelry, pipe parts, golf parts, parts and more parts.

I enjoy making themed birdhouses related to a particular interest, like gardening or a favorite book or sport. The birdhouses are all named and signed by me. You can see them at my studio or at the places listed in the links below.
