As a watercolor painter, and signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, I choose to paint subjects that excite me because of their shape, color, history or simply because I love them. These subjects include farm animals & African Wildlife on handmade paper made from elephant dung, landscapes, and florals. However, my greatest joy is teaching watercolor to others.

This spring, I painted old tractors, an orchard sprayer and a linotype in the print shop next door, which were included in my recent “50 Shades of Rust” show at the Shenandoah Arts Council.

Currently, painting non-objective works have filled my days. I try to bring the concepts learned at workshops I attend back to my watercolor students. Mark Mehaffey and Jeannie McGuire, both enthusiastic instructors, have been a great inspiration.
