The King Mountain House is a contemporary, spacious and light filled home with beautiful views on 2.5 levels. The sleeping loft has a queen size bed, full bath, walk-in closet and sitting area. The main level includes a large living/dining area, a sunroom for extra dining, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bedroom with a queen size bed and full bath. The living area includes a queen size sleeper sofa. The lower level has a large living/library area, a private bedroom with an attached sunroom for sitting, a full bath, sauna and laundry room. The lower level opens onto a large outdoor living space that includes a heavy timber pergola, stone patio, megalithic stone fire pit and serving table. It can comfortably accommodate 6-10 people for sitting and dining. The pergola/patio has beautiful views of the Piedmont.

The King Mountain House is located 3 miles from Little Washington and the famous 5 start restaurant The Inn at Little Washington. It is 3-5 miles from other Rappahannock rural villages that are noted for their restaurants, cafes, vineyards and antique shops. It is centrally located on the Virginia Artisans Trail in Rappahannock County. It is 15 miles from the Shenandoah National Park’s Skyline Drive.

The King Mountain House is in the middle of Rappahannock’s fox hunting country. The Old Dominion and Rappahannock Hunts welcome visitors to participate in hill topping and spectating. Horses and tack can be rented locally for trail rides with/without a guide or trailer your own horses.

Rappahannock County’s rural nature is inviting to cyclists and hikers. More serious hikers may be interested in Old Rag Mountain which is approximately 20 Miles from the King Mountain House.

Rappahannock County’s recreation park and playground is 3 miles from the King Mountain House. The park caters to family gatherings and children. There is a basketball and tennis court, playground, skateboard park, a pavilion, picnic tables and outdoor grills. A stocked fly fishing stream and golf course is 5 miles from the house.

The King Mountain House is located on Horseshoe Hollow Farm, which is a 375-acre farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It abuts the Shenandoah National Park and is surrounded by protected land that allows for a very secluded and quiet environment.
