The City of Lynchburg is surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell Counties.

Each community offers their own enticing attractions and opportunities including entrance to the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the most visited sites in the National Park System; Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest, his retreat home away from Monticello; Patrick Henry’s Red Hill, the home and final resting place of Virginia’s first Governor; and Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, where America’s Civil War came to an end.

There is so much to see here in Lynchburg and around us. So we invite you to come back time and time again to experience it all!
