Molly McDonald Peterson. Raised in rural Illinois, Molly found her way to Virginia in 2008. Now, in her early thirties, Molly M. Peterson has embraced her gifts and talents to document life behind the lens. She has been a professional photographer for over a decade; her work is genuine, award-winning, and published. She and her husband are sustainable farmers in Rappahannock County, Virginia with their farm Heritage Hollow Farms raising grassfed and grass-finished beef & lamb and pasture-raised pork. They own a farm store in Sperryville, Virginia offering their farm products as well as small-batch and artisanal goods.

Molly firmly believes in the honesty, integrity, authenticity, and beauty in the essence of the natural world. She carries such throughout all of her work and personal life. She is an active participant in her local community as well as a number of charitable organizations.

Available for worldwide editorial commissions, she accepts limited births and weddings each year as well as documenting other life moments and milestones. She is the contributor to several cookbooks including Growing Tomorrow: A Farm to Table Journey in Photos and Recipes photographed in collaboration with fellow farmer/author Forrest Pritchard. She regularly hosts private and public photography workshops and classes “Capturing the Essence of Life on the Farm”. Custom prints available for all “Farm Life” series images.
