?Station Stitchers share their love of community and of quilting by designing, stitching, and gifting quilts to individuals needing a little TLC to assist them through trying times. Station Stitchers is all volunteer and makes over 300 individual quilts annually, donating them to the Inova Loudoun Hospital, for distribution to patients in Oncology, Dialysis, ICU, and to children in the NICU and pediatrics; and as a remembrance for families suffering the loss of a loved one. Station Stitchers has supplied bedding for Boulder Crest Retreat in Bluemont and to Willing Warriors Retreat in Haymarket both of which support wounded veterans while they heal and transition back into society.

Station Stitchers has a storefront at 201 N Maple Avenue, Suite F, in Purcellville, VA. We provide hands-on, basic instruction in quilting at no cost to the volunteer. All ages and abilities are welcome. We keep a drawer of volunteer-cut quilt kits to start new volunteers off. All supplies include machines to sew on, fabrics, and notions and are available at no cost to the volunteer provided the finished quilt top is donated to be finished for the hospital. We have a large library of craft and quilt ideas as well as binders full of patterns for quilts and other things. This is a great location for those who have retired and are looking to fill their time; for parents whose children have left the nest; for those looking to learn a new skill; and those who want to give back to the community and need a starting point.

We offer handmade purses, totes, and duffle bags as well as quilts, table runners, place mats, specialty items for quilters, and other items for the home. We also do very basic long arm quilting and quilt finishing for a donation. We offer these items to raise funds in order to purchase items such as batting, thread, and notions.
