Rappahannock Association for Arts and Community (RAAC)

Member of Trail Networks:
Rappahannock County Artisan Trail (site #94)

Since our founding in 1982 this all volunteer organization has focused on enriching the lives of Rappahannock residents through participation and exposure to the arts.

We are energized and guided by our belief that a community infused with the arts is stronger, livelier and more connected.

We offer an array of arts programs and events. We partner with local organizations. We award financial grants. All of our contributions and net proceeds are channeled back to the community.

The success of our programs rests on hundreds of RAAC members who sustain us through their contributions, volunteer efforts, creative participation and attendance.

Our primary programs are:

  • Annual Art Tour the first weekend in November
  • Grants to local artists and organizations
  • Monthly talks by writers, filmmakers, historians, etc.
  • Monthly movies
  • Community theater
