The marbling technique is used on silk and leather before being created into a full line of clothing and accessories.

Fiber artist Barb Polin creates fabric and leather using the centuries old technique known as marbling, typically used on paper. After the design is applied to the silk and leather, Polin creates a full of line of silk clothing and accessories for men and women. The leather is stitched into small leather goods such as wallets and applied as accents on leather handbags. She began marbling in 1991 and has won numerous regional and national awards for her work. SoLace marbled products are sold in numerous galleries and gift shops nationwide.
