Wachapreague, “Flounder Capital of the World”, boast the best early season flounder fishing on the East coast with trout, croaker, bluefish, drum and rock/striper bass being available during various times of the year. Our marina offers one of the closest seaside ports to the prime Mid-Atlantic fishing grounds, marlin, tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi and sea bass are available offshore.

The pristine barrier islands off Wachapreague’s Atlantic Ocean coast protect one of the world’s last large, unspoiled wetlands habitats. Our region is a major producer of shellfish and is recognized as a Bioshere Reserve by the United Nations.
